The weekend started with haircuts. Each summer the guys all try a new haircut. Last year Ethan sported a Mohawk, this year Daddy decided to go bald, yes, that is bald, no hair at all.
Just as cute as ever - his eyes & smile just shine.
Saturday morning Ethan & Daddy went to "Take your Kids Fishing Day" at Jeffers Bend. They fished for about five hours, but didn't catch a thing.
Before going fishing they stopped for breakfast and Ethan/Daddy pulled another tooth...
Mommy & Isaiah spent Saturday morning together. We had whistlestop donuts & went shopping. Around noon we all met at home and headed out to the Martin Home Place for a Sunday School Social. There were tree swings and a clubhouse, the kids had a great time playing and we were able to visit with friends and listen to some live gospel music.
Sunday started early, about 5:30am with little Isaiah having an upset tummy. Poor thing, Daddy taught Sunday School and Mommy & Isaiah stayed home. Of course the worst part for him was not getting "snacks". Tonight we pulled out the camera and he decided to give me some pitiful looks for the camera...
This is how we spent most of the day, just snuggle up in the recliner...
Finally, after dinner he was feeling much better.
Here is watching Daddy & Ethan with Ethan's new toy.
Mommy - "Hugs"
Here Isaiah is saying his bedtime prayers.
He is so sweet and understands so much.
Every time we go to church, he runs to the auditorium and yells
"Jesus? Mommy where'd Jesus go?"
He remembers seeing Jesus in the Easter play.
It is so amazing to see such sweet, childlike faith.
Ethan has been saving his money from the tooth-fairy and other money he gets,
tonight the boys & Daddy went to the store & Ethan bought a Nerf gun.
So, of course they had to get it out and have target practice tonight!
So, quite a large contraption for foam darts, lighted scope & all.
Plans for tomorrow include, target practice of course.
Thank you to all our friends & family that serve and have served in the armed forces.
Your bravery, sacrifice and selflessness are an amazing gift.
Prayers going out tonight for the Johnson family as they await the news if they passed court tonight in Ethiopia...may God add a beautiful little girl to your family tonight and may she be in your arms soon.
