Monday Ethan's class had a field trip to Land between the Lakes. The plan was to visit the Planetarium, then on to Patties for lunch. However, when we arrived at the Planetarium, the power was out, so instead the kids visited the small Observatory for a quick lesson.
Three classmates and a mom rode with us so we had a great time visiting. Patties has so much today...first we visited the animals...
Then followed the winding paths past the chapel...

On to the country mill...
We ate a delicious lunch and a gentleman provided the kids with a short lesson on mealtime etiquette, even the adults learned something!
After lunch the teacher's presented class awards.
Ethan was awarded the "Fruit of the Spirit" of Faith and Loyalty.
The teacher said that he is a very faithful and loyal friend to his classmates.
After lunch we wondered down a few more winding paths, including brief stops at the beautiful patches of flowers, these roses were some of my favorites.
Ethan jumped in the funny little tractor for a quick picture before heading home.
I don't think I would want to get in his way!
It was a wonderful day...beautiful weather...great company...and best of all a day to see my son interact amongst his friends and to see just how much he has grown up!
