Contemplating the future...

The future has been on my mind quite often lately. I know it is best to live in the present because the past is gone, the future isn't here yet, and today is a gift you can never relive. However, it is very rare for me not to be looking at our 1 year, 3 year and 5 year plan.

Future topic #1 - Adoption, so many of our wonderful friends & family are having babies or bringing home such precious children to raise and love. In addition preparing for the Ft. Campbell baby boom expected this fall, I have been spending work time in NICUs, Mother Baby Units, and Ob/gyn offices...nothing to put the desire for a baby in your heart then to see them everywhere :) Well, we know God has a plan and that we are currently working it...which leads to...

Future topic #2 - Debt Free, it will be so awesome to let out that "We're DEBT FREEEE!" yell one of these days. Slow and study wins the race. I just know that God will bless our diligence and faithfulness...it will be so exciting to see just exactly "how" and "when" He is going to do it ;)...which leads to...

Future topic #3 - The means to the life God has for us to be able to live, give, and serve...that would be our jobs. Lots of changes with Nate's job, cutting hours and combining routes to try and save money to prevent lay-offs, however, change is hard, especially when the bosses are getting huge raises with no apparent sacrifice. As for my job, well we are still in the limbo of will I change jobs, so we can stay here, or will we move, so we can stay with the company. Today I received the paperwork to express interest in the jobs we may have open up overseas, and also received a bit more information on the government job that will be posting soon.

Praying for God's guidance in all of these things. Claiming the victory and blessings He has for our lives and revoking Satan's attacks to place doubt, worry, and frustration in our lives. One day we will have our little girl, be debt free, and finally know whether we are staying or going...until then..."we just gotta have faith"
