Snow Days!!!!

This year so far we have had two snow days with at least enough snow to get out and play. The first snow lasted for several days, but wasn't much...Daddy, Ethan & Isaiah ventured out to have fun.

Of course Mommy requires quadruple layers, so we all end up looking like marshmallow puffs. The trick to dry feet...put on a pair of your socks, then put a grocery bag on each foot, then put a pair of bigger socks on top...no worry about icy wet feet! Play to your heart's content!

Forward ahead to January 30, yesterday school was cancelled and not a lick of snow...at least until 1pm, then the skies opened and down came piles of thick, white, fluffy flakes!

Since Ethan is getting baptized tomorrow at church, Papa, D.D., and Uncle Allen traversed through the snowy weather to come. So, Papa & Allen joined us for our out door fun, while D.D. made some yummy Chili...just what you need on a cold winter night!

Now that is what we're talking about...if it's gonna snow, at least give us 6-8 inches to be able to get out and play. So how much snow did we get, well, I haven't watched the news and we haven't measured with a ruler, but our prediction...just the right amount to get out and do some major sledding :)

I have to admit as much as cold weather is not my favorite season, when it is snow, not ice, and we can go tubing....we love it. Have a great snow day!!!

(By the way, the best deal is to buy a pool tube at the end of summer, but if you don't have one, check with the local tire store...they will sell you a tube & pump it up for you....worth every penny!)
